Looking forward to a bit of Stingray. From memory it starts off a little infantile in places but soon sheds that ahead of the leap to Thunderbirds.

What a fantastic tv channel !!!
This morning,uncertain of time due to beer Saturday scenario,watched an episode of "The Law and Mr Jones",a 1960-62 USA series I had never seen before.Absolutely brilliant!!

Been watching "The Law and Mr Jones" on this fine channel recently.

Captain Scarlet comes to Talking Pictures on Saturday 1st June.

As well as the 1966 Batman series.

Despite having both of these shows on dvd,is wonderful to know that they are being broadcasted again.
Was watching the channel London Live at hospital earlier and they showed an episode from The Prisoner, "The Schizoid Man".
Again,have it on DVD and VHS but hadn't seen it for years and was absolutely lovely to watch tonight,out of the blue.
I think classic TV that we all grew up with has that power to just make you feel better about life etc.

I'm off work today,back tomorrow,and have just been watching a great film on this channel;"Rubber Racketeers" (1942).
I love the movies this channel shows,they are old forgotten classics.

Agree. I'd never heard of Mr. Winkle Goes to War before but have recently watched it three times on Talking Pictures TV. It stars Edward G. Robinson in a light hearted role. A wonderful film.

Will look out for it.Brilliant channel.

Space Patrol coming to talking pictures tv in June. I watched it as a kid in the early sixties. A crude puppet show but enjoyable. I've never forgotten the Martian always saying "I'm hungry" and Slim the Venusian replying "you're always thinking of your stomach".

I used to like this one as well. Wondered for years what a yobba ray was, but nobody seems to know.

Roberta Leigh (producer of this show) was the employer of a certain Gerry Anderson,who helped her with her shows "Twizzle" and "Torchy the Battery boy".
Anderson then went totally independent and made "Four Feather Falls" in 1960.
In 1962 Anderson launched "Fireball XL5" two months before Roberta Leigh launched "Space Patrol".
Both shows were popular.
Anderson followed with Stingray and the competition was over.

Just watched "Pulp" (1972) starring Michael Caine.

Sunday 9th June episode of Footage Detectives saw them waxing lyrical over Wham!, thecomic that is. It's on season 2, episode 126, which should be viewable at https://www.tptvencore.co.uk/Playlist/F ... ceb1083fb0

Tried to watch but you have to have an account I think.
Either way, great post, great comic.
So nice to be reminded of it,was actually slightly before my time but have a couple of issues.
I think that "Wham" was the second UK comic to reprint Marvel stuff, "Creepy Worlds" did this first.
I think, could be wrong.
