I see they are repeating Fantasy Island and Married With Children from next week. Talking Pictures has finished The Beverly Hillbillies, I presume they could only show the episodes that were out of copyright, Rewind is now showing the series.
Also noticed this and due to work have missed all of these but brilliant to know they are there and hope to view some next week.
The repeat of Married is something that really excites me as loved that show and unlike the other two you mention,I don't think it's been repeated for decades.I'm probably wrong and have just missed it.

One thing I have found a bit annoying is the constant repeats of the Zoo Gang.Don't get me wrong, love the series but as it was only ever 6 episodes long,it's a bit silly to constantly repeat. In my opinion.

Watched Police Woman on Rewind last night where she goes under cover in a women's prison. In one scene she is in her cell reading a comic. Looked like Adventure Comic but I couldn't find the cover on GCD.

Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe chapter 11....
This really reminds me of Xmas when I was a kid, they always showed Flash Gordon over Xmas period,I have on DVD but seeing on TV channel live is just special.
I better go to bed as have to cook tomorrow and wife won't be happy with Xmas dinner not sorted by afternoon.

Yeah, I remember The Cut price Comedy show on CD when it launched and seeing big haired comedian Lenny Windsor popping up on TV shows during the 1980s. I recall LW being a contestant on TIV's Saturday Night talent show Search For A Star (where different ITV regions revealed their votes. I think one Eamomn Holmes was representing Ulster revealing their votes). I also recall impressionist Fogwell Flax winning outright one year, the prize being a one off TV special - his called "A Foggy Outlook". Unfortunatley he was also doing the post Chris Tarrant final season of Tiswas, which he bombed on and it killed his career dead. Flax later admitted he made a big mistake being a regular on The Was.

The one Christmas day highlight as broadcast on the day for me, was an un-festive repeat of Department S on Rewind.

Did also see the festive episodes on Rising Damp, Some Mothers Do Ave Em, and Mr Bean on That's Tv channels on the day, but seen these many times before, though I never seem to tire of them.

Not interested in all the other stuff they hyped in the schedules. Never liked Gavin and Stacey, Wallace and Gromit not keen on (will be repeated all this year anyway) and can't stand any of the depressing, issue trivialising soaps.

Had a better day's viewing on Boxing Day mainly due to my DVDs:

Played festive episodes of Do Not Adjust Your Set (both shows, including pilot episode with wicked festive Rediffusion ident at the start), Maigret (with Rupert Davies), Stingray, Joe 90, The Avengers...then break for Final Score then on TPTV Christmas In The Street (when Corrie was good and had humour and good real characters) then a bootleg DVD I have of Christmas Night With The Stars from 1972, a variety show including short sketches from hosts The Two Ronnies plus short festive episodes of The Liver Birds, The Goodies and Dad's Army, also unfunny bits from Mike Yarwood. Then onto BBC$ for enjoyable first Morecambe and Wise from 1969.

TV today is a much poorer place, so watching these gave me a boost.

Thanks for excellent knowledge David,I had no idea that Tarrant was replaced in Tiswas or any knowledge on Fogwell Flax.

In general my wife watched stuff she wanted BUT in the evening I was allowed to watch the Rocky Horror Picture Show and that was my highlight.

There were some Mike Yarwood shows repeated on That's TV (I think) earlier this year and I never thought he was a good impressionist first time around but these repeats just confirmed it. Sun tv critic Ally Ross agreed with me.

DavidKW - which team were you following on final score? It would be nice to know which teams fellow contributors support. I've previously made it known I'm a lifelong Millwall fan, first attending the Den in the mid 1960s and in their away travel club for four years in the late 70s early 80s. They sometimes took decrepit old trains out of mothballs especially for us. Didn't want us travelling with the general population.

Heard yesterday that The Monkees is coming to Rewind. Been wanting to watch that for years. Dvd sets were always very expensive. Even in HMV they were twice the costs of other 60s shows.

Loved that show. Rewatched them all on YouTube. The scheduling unfortunately doesn't suit me on Rewind.
