Apologies for not coming back to this thread - been a bit busy chasing couriers etc. However, just to confirm - STRIP Magazine Issue 1 will be on sale in UK comic shops from 2nd November. Unfortunately it arrived too late last week to be included in Diamond shipments for this week.

However, because of the slippage, the e-edition is now on sale before the print edition. So for those of you with iPads, you can buy it via http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/strip-ma ... 22695?mt=8

And if you need reminding what to expect:
STRIP Magazine is an all-ages adventure anthology comic featuring some great art and stories from some brilliant creators including PJ Holden (Judge Dredd), John McCrea (Hitman, The Boys), Michael Penick (Insurrection), John Ridgway and many more!

Offering a range of strip stories, comics news, interviews and features, plus a fully re-mastered version of the classic British comic strip Hookjaw, this is a first issue you will not want to miss!

STRIP Magazine Issue One includes Black Ops Xtreme, drawn by PJ Holden; Warpaint by Phil Hester and John McCrea; Age of Heroes by James Hudnall and John Ridgway; Hookjaw, re-mastered by Jim Campbell and Gary Caldwell; 'Hush Hush' a prequel story to Stephen Walsh and Keith Page's Iron Moon graphic album; Recovery Inc. by Michael Penick
and Dean Deckard; and the first winners of our special Strip Challenge, Graham and David Stoddard

PLUS - a look back at 1970s classic British comic Action; and an exclusive interview with comic artist PJ Holden!

This digital edition is produced in association with ROK Comics - please note, the free poster is only available with the print edition, until we work how to stick paper down one of these fibre optic cables...
Much thanks to everyone who has posted info on where they are ordering from. I've added web links to all the shops who've said they're stocking STRIP Magazine to our blog at http://stripcomicmagazineuk.blogspot.com/

A number of people have tried in vain to use the main web site subscription page - we're painfully aware of the issues with this and hope they will be resolved by early next week (beginning 31st October).

Dearie me, why is it so damn hard to buy this comic!

I really want to buy it.

I do not have a comic shop anywhere near me.

I can't see any links to buy it anywhere from the official website or the blogspot - the comic shops links listed don't carry any mention of being able to buy Strip Magazine.

I say again, I really want to buy this comic, myself and my son have been looking forward to it.

Surely it is possible I can pay someone by PayPal and they will post me the comic out?

Have you tried emailing any of the comic shops listed on the blog? Follow the links to the shops and drop them an email.

I'm sorry it's taking so darn long to get the subs page on the site fixed.

In Manchester it was in stock at Travelling Man (where I bought one) - just a few copies, I think, which sold out quickly - and Forbidden Planet, which had quite a few.

I got one of the last copies from Travelling Man too, though I still haven't had chance to look at it (when I'm in Manchester I always try to buy my comics from there before I go on to Forbidden Planet; the staff are so welcoming I feel they deserve my custom - even though they stock far fewer copies of most things).

I also got the new Alter Ego, which tends to be even harder to find in most parts of the country.

Obviously I posted on the wrong thread. To repeat, I bought my copy a couple of hours ago at Forbidden Planet in Lime Street, Liverpool. There were eleven copies left.

Forbidden Planet in Coventry have about 10 copies, prominently displayed beside 2000AD and Previews, and above the latest U.S. imports.

Excellent comic. Great value at £2.99 for 68 pages.

That's exactly what I do - go to Travelling Man first, then to FP for anything TM sold out of. I went in Travelling Man on Wednesday afternoon and assumed they hadn't had any copies of Strip Magazine - didn't occur to me that they could've sold out in a few short hours! Luckily Forbidden Planet had some left. About half way through my copy - a terrific read so far!

Page 45 in Nottingham ordered it for me. Forbidden Planet Nottingham are expecting to get it, but it's not in yet.

It's great stuff - I'm eagerly awaiting issue 2!
