did Leo just draw 1 or 2 at the beginning before Ron Spencer took over? I know Ron drew from issue 10 which is what I have..
They changed the artists quite often in those days. Odhams comics were a merry go round of artists. Offhand I can't remember who did exactly what on Swots & Blots. I'll scan some stuff if I have time but no promises.

Halfway through 1970 the `Teacher` changed from the goofy looking character in Mortar-board to grumpier looking fellow `sans` headgear-anyone else notice this?

Following up my own long-forgotten comment, Leo Baxendale didn't work on Swots and Blots until one episode towards the end of the Odhams run, then he took over from the first IPC revamped issue. That said, even those IPC issues had Swots and Blots fill-ins from Les Barton, Terry Bave, and others.

I'm a big fan of the Swots and the Blots but also have a soft spot for The Pirates but I have a feeling Mike Brown drew a lot of them. Some were three pages.

Les Barton (I.Spy) even drew one episode - he drew a `Bad Penny` episode too!
