Looking for Specky Hector's History of Comics

Post by Tammyfan »

I am trying to find "Specky Hector's History of Comics", which appeared in Buster 1990 and probably 1991. I have the first two, which appeared 1 September and 6 October 1990. Does anyone have the others, please? Many thanks for any help.

Specky was of course the alter ego of that renowned comics historian Mr. Lew Stringer. Unfortunately I don't have any Busters from so late in the run but I'd really like to see that series reprinted somewhere. However some time ago I did stumble across this intriguing booklet by his fellow comicologist Alan Clark which had been given away in Buster a few years earlier.

Yes, I thought I saw a tiny small signature of Lew's on the art! Paging Lew, paging Mr Lew... :)

I think I did six or seven in total. When I have time this weekend I'll dig them out and post them on my blog. Thanks for reminding me I'd done those! :)
