Where did I go wrong? Was my question offensive?
Or is really no-one able to help me out??

SO AGAIN, PLEASE:
I am looking for Express Weekly No 132 for 30 March 1957. I do not need an actual copy, but a hi-res scan from the weekly educational feature "Nature was First" on page 6 would be very helpful.
Please send me an e-mail at <john.wigmans[at]hetnet.nl> first.

Thanks in advance.

I finally managed to get a (fuzzy) pdf-file from the British Library. But I still hope for a better hi-res scan... So, who is able to help me with this??

Express Weekly is one of those elusive titles. I've been collecting comics since 1965 and hardly ever come across Express Weekly.

I just googled Pure Nostalgia Comics (they have a stall at the London comic mart when it combines the UK comics mart, very friendly people) and they have issues 131 and 132 sold as a pair or individually. Price is £10 but it isn't clear if that is for the pair or individual issue.

Forgot to make it clear - they sell comics online and I presume they will mail to Europe.

Before they stopped selling comics to specialise in original comic art & publishing, the Book Palace had a whole stack of them at incredibly reasonable prices - I think £5 an issue.

I bought one specially to illustrate the Mike Noble article, and spent a day there just prior to the interview trying to find examples of his early work.

I scanned a couple of his Lone Ranger pages on here a few months back but can't remember which topic.

It was the Sally topic in the Girl's Comics section but I only scanned one page. Mike Noble is a true great of comic art. I liken his trademark men running with one leg "cocked" to Wayne Boring's Superman flying with the same lower limb action. But on the subject of Artist's peccadilloes I wonder why George Tuska always drew those tombstone teeth? Surely he could see they looked unattractive?

UPDATE (02/01/2012): Des Shaw, editor of Spaceship Away, kindly sent me a wonderful scan. Thank you very much, Des!

One to go: I am still looking for Mickey Mouse Weekly No 752 for 9 October 1954. I do not need an actual copy, but a hi-res scan from the weekly feature “Something to Make” would be very helpful. Unfortunately I do not know which page, but it was part of the b/w editorial page at the end of the issue. (Previously posted Tue Jun 14, 2011 10:52 am, but still no scan...)
