Re: Into Battle!
Recently closed? That’s a shame. I have an invite to go to the Rebellion's archive tomorrow and I thought that if I had time, I’d pop over to see that exhibition afterwards. Damn!

Re: Into Battle!
Thanks Richard. It was a great day and we could have stayed there for hours and hours (I took a mate with me). They’re doing a great job there preserving the old comics, artwork and film etc. there are so many gaps though, where things went ‘missing’ over the years before they acquired the rights. Highlights were the original mock-up for a new comic called AD 2000 along with hundreds of “Property of Bear Alley” volumes going back decades.Richard S. wrote: ↑20 Jun 2024, 06:32wow! Re: Into Battle!
ah, great to hear. Wonder if they'll ever publicise what they're missing? I guess for many volumes that they're missing they might not be that bothered about acquiring the comics because they're not going to re-print any of the material in them.Adam Eterno wrote: ↑20 Jun 2024, 22:07Thanks Richard. Re: Into Battle!
They don’t have the budget to acquire the sheer volume of comics they need sadly, that’s why I was allowed the tour as they needed to scan some of my collection for a couple of future projects. One of the issues of Smash alone has not sold for less than £120 the last few times it’s appeared on EBay. (And that was in poor condition). It’s much cheaper and easier to scan them.Richard S. wrote: ↑21 Jun 2024, 06:20ah, great to hear. Wonder if they'll ever publicise what they're missing? I’ve offered them access to any of my collection they need as I love the job they’re doing on bringing these old series to life again.
