New Beano advertisement on TV

Post by swirlythingy »

In what the Drum quite rightly call "the biggest promotion of the comic brand for years" by a firm they quite wrongly call "DC Thompson", the Beano is advertising on TV.

Yes, that's right - this is not a recording of a vintage advertisement for a British comic, but a 100% new one!

View it here: http://www.thedrum.co.uk/news/2012/08/0 ... -promotion

(Hat-tips to Pink in french and jsb97.)

Strange that they used the TV design of Dennis at a time when they have reversed his design.

That's because they used clips from the 2009 cartoon opening sequence.

Im sure I can remember Beano adverts on TV back in the early 2000s. They did some over promotional pushes back then as well with Beano toys in McDonalds and Burger King.

Sure it wasn't mid-90s? The last TV advert I know of ran in 1994, although Dandy had one in 2004.
