Baby Face Finlayson is coming back, drawn by Alexander Matthews, who draws Nuke Noodle for the Dandy. Post also has some good news about the digital Dandy.

Looks like some more information has been revealed, it's a pretty major revamp, not just one new strip.
  • The Numskulls and Minnie the Minx both cut down to one page.
  • Lew Stringer is drawing Rasher.
  • Calamity James reprints added.
  • New look reader page, 80s style.
  • Wilbur Dawbarn replaces Nick Brennan as Billy Whizz artist.
  • Price increase to £2 (I've been expecting that ever since the Dandy's increase to £1.99, to be honest).
It was posted on Beanoforum, but freeforums went down as I tried to post a reply to the thread there.

That definitely sound interesting Digi and I'm looking forward to reading it.

Do you know if these changes will be taking place this week or later on in the month?

I think it's this week, because the source of most of the information in the second post (everything except Rasher, which was revealed on Lew Stringer's Facebook page) was Peter Gray, who isn't an insider. Subscribers will already have issue 3660.

Also, Rasher will be a three panel mini-strip.

Sounds good, if Rasher is a 3 panel mini strip I wonder if there will be other ones like in The Dandy.

I dont really like the three panel strips in the Dandy they were never long enough to put a good joke in, some are funny but most aren't. The mini strips are always my least favourite part of the current Dandy.
Im unhappy they found their way into the Beano.

One thing I remember from a while ago is that Little Plum featured in a full-page advert in The Dandy stating about it's demise and that the subscription moves to the Beano. So I wonder if this means Little Plum's coming back later this year or perhaps this week?

Little Plum is back as a mini strip..didn't grab me the gag this time..

Simply Smiffy..
Pup Parade
Les Pretend
theres a few more But those are some of the mini strips..
The funmniest is Baby-face and Rasher and should be a whole page..

Ooh nice to see some golden oldies returning from the past! I recall a friend of Hunt Emerson's saying he wanted to draw Les Pretend.. can you tell whether he is now?

Beaten to the punch saying it's great to see some old characters return.

Wonder if there's more where they come from as Peter Gray didn't reveal them all.

I need help with this Baby-Face Finlayson question! Could Goo-Goo McGoo speak? Or did he go Mmmmgpmh, or perhaps never said anything? I need to get this detail right for the strip I'm drawing currently.

I do recollect something "special" about Goo-Goo's dialogue, but I can't recall what it was—nor, frustratingly, can I find any appearances by him in the back issues I have accessible (a random mix from 1982 to the present...)
He may have only said "goo-goo" and variations thereof, but that seems too easy...
