I noticed in Tesco today that this week's Beano has the 2019 annual with it as a free gift. Is this happening nationwide or just certain areas. I can't believe they have enough left over annuals to go with the entire Beano print run.

Might be a Tesco promotion. It's on its own in Easons.

It costs £3.95 so a bit more than the normal weekly edition. I haven't bought it for years so don't know what the Beano costs but think it might be £2.25?

£2.75 nowadays. Bagged issues with gifts are usually £3.75.

That annual promo was probably Tesco using up their warehouse stock, as they were probably already only charging £2 at the most for the annual anyway (most shops reduce them to that price after Christmas).

i think whs are giving the annual as a free gift this week but people on twitter were saying only train stations whs

They clearly have far too much surplus. I guess the annuals aren't as popular as they used to be.
