This fortnight's Xtreme...

Post by readee »

...anyone else having trouble obtaining a copy? None of the my usual local retailers have it. Visited London last weekend and no luck there either.

It was due out last week. I'm left feeling a bit worried by this...

Thanks for confirming, Lew.

Anyone in the know who can add any more information? Before we start speculating...?

I'm sure it's just a delay. Could be any reason, from a printing glitch to a problem with one of the four free gifts, or simply a decision to change which week it comes out. I dunno, but I'm sure we'll see it soon.

I think it has something to do with the free gift. I have a subscription and received the comic fine as per usual and then a week or so later got a letter about the free packet of 'Poppets' that it came with. The letter said to throw them away, but it was a bit late for this and I had tried them and they tasted of chemicals . So I'm guessing this is why it's late in showing up this fortnight.

Actually being physically poisoned by a free gift. What a treat! Antidote free in a fortnight I suppose.

...Of course, the comic in question really should have been Toxic!

Finally available in WHSmiths at London Liverpool Street Station with an 'apologies for lack of Poppets' flyer in the bag.

Still seeing a shrinking 'Dandy' and a growing 'Xtreme' throughout the comic :(

Dear readers,

We apologise for the the packet of gut mangling sweets we gave away last ish. Heh Heh! Silly us misread the sell by date. Of course the Partridge Family poster offer on the pack should have been a dead giveaway. Anyway we hope your bout of Gastro Enteritis did not put too much of a damper on your Easter Holiday break.

Order the next Dandy Extreme now, with free turkey twizzlers!

The Editor.

Still no copies around here, which means distribution must be limited or the shops haven't bothered putting them out.

I got it yesterday and it looked better than in other weeks (comic strip content). Had BOTH Desperate Dan and Cuddles & Dimples.

And the Dandy logo sure looks small (even more so on the subscriber's page).

Shouldn't make promises they can't keep! Sort it out DCT! :x

BTW, my local shop still seems to have that issue - I thought the new one was out today? :? It is every two Thursdays right?
