I am far from an expert in these things and would never profess to know better, but I still can't quite get my head around the fact that there has been NO cross-product advertising in either The Beano or The Weekly News.
Surely, there are some Beano readers out there that may not know of the relaunch - they are obviously interested in comic strips as The Beano is predominantly thus so do they not think they could pick up some more sales there? For The Weekly News, this is an older readership but, similarly, a parent or grandparent may see news of the re-launch and buy a copy for their son/daughter, grandson/granddaughter?
If any DCT people are reading this I would be interested to know their views on this (just to stop my puzzler from puzzling!)
With regards to the website:
1- It isn't being updated so often at present - the latest issues was published yesterday but today still has the 18 Dec issue news on the front page

2- I know it has been mentioned on this forum before but the voting page really needs looking at if the editorial team are going to take it seriously when deciding upon strip changes etc.
3- I have signed up to the newsletter about 6 times since relaunch and have never received anything.
This post isn't meant in any way to be negative - I'm still buying two copies of every issue as both my sons love it (even the 12 year old who had recently stated that he didnt want The Beano any more as Dennis and Gnasher were 'too baby-ish' since they were updated).
I WANT it to work - that's the basis of this post!
