What happened to Disaster Chef?

Post by WizzKid97 »

Does anyone remember this guy? He was drawn by Dave Mostyn and debuted the same issue as Andy Fanton's 'Boo!', it was about a chef called Russell Sprout who did cooking in the craziest of places (like in a jungle, a desert, etc.)

I quite liked the strip and was surprised it ended so quickly, 4 stories is not a long run.

Anyway, if anyone knows why the strip ended so quickly then please let me know. :)

A lot of the single line strips do often only last a week or two. Dandy loves to rotate them, so it may come back yet.

Probably not seeing as it was a whole page story.

That's why I said one or two weeks. There's three line strip pages per issue, so that's anywhere from two to six strips. And the full pagers do get rotated too. Pre-Skool Prime Minister, George vs Dragon, Postman Prat, all have disappeared and later returned, and remember how short GvD's second run was before it took a month's hiatus?

To be fair, GVD's second run was VERY long actually achieving something like 20 stories which is a lot considering the first run was only 14. :)

And Disaster Chef only appeared 4 times, that's not even a full comic run!
