BROONS DOCUMENTARY BBC4 MONDAY NIGHT

Post by stevezodiac »

HAS ANYONE MENTIONED THAT BBC4 ARE SHOWING "HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROONS" ON MONDAY NIGHT AT 8.30 JUST BEFORE COMICS BRITANNIA? WE ALL REMEMBER IT BEING SHOWN ON BBC SCOTLAND - THE NOO - AND WERE VERY ENVIOUS OF OUR TARTAN CLAD NEIGHBOURS, WELL NOW WE CAN SEE IT FOR OURSELVES - I'LL GET MY TAM O'SHANTER OUT OF THE DRY CLEANERS. BRAW! (I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT I AM SEMI- SCOTTISH).

No, no-one has mentioned that either.... Nothing on TV about comics for years. I go away for 3 years and suddenly there's loads! I'll just be sitting sulking in the corner over here! :x

Theres been quite a few mini articles on Scottish TV recently ( news items and documentaries) most recently (apart from the Broons one) there has been a series of articles in the news about the Dudley Watkins artwork (the original Oor Willie and Broons sketches) going up for sale (with other comic work) in fact it was also written about in all the Scottish papers as well as some of the Scottish editions of the UK nationals (such as The Times - front page)

There's a documentary about Heath Robinson on at 8:00, too, just before the one about The Broons.

Still in sulky mode. Would anyone mind recording these little gems and putting them onto a torrent site?
