Good luck with this, I actually did mean to also mention that some of the backgrounds to the text on a couple of features overpower the wording making them difficult to read.

Great interesting read though, and very commendable for the first issue!

Got a copy last night - as I'm one of the contributors I'm not sure it's appropriates to comment on the magazine tooo much, but I will say that it's A4 sized, full colour, 64 pages (IIRC), most of the articles are a couple of pages long and the diversity of topics covered is great. It looks better than some of the magazines you see in WHSmith's - it's a visual feast!

I'm not having a pop at Crikey (which I read and enjoyed, even allowing for the error plagued early issues) but this magazine is superior to it in many ways.

I'd recommend trying it out.

John McShane introduced us at the Edinburgh Con on Saturday. I doubt you will remember as you were reaĺly busy at the stall. By the time it occurred to me to get back and get a copy, you were gone and the table was bare, apart from an issue of aka and flyers. Fortunately, John came across with the goods and gave me a copy.
I wrote elsewhere that I enjoyed some of the pieces, but really, I don't want or need to read more about Tank Girl or Bisley, or 2000AD. Whereas John's article on Neptune started well and should continue to prove informative. (As I was closely involved in retail at the time, I will be interested to read any comments on this in later issues.)
The Prisoner piece was intriguing and I was so pleased to find a page devoted to Flintlock, an excellent wee comic with a highly entertaining title story. Perhaps a look at Westernoir in the very near future?
The Dare article didn't tell me anything I didn't know, but perhaps it wasn't written for the likes of me. My preference would have been to cover some of the other, nowadays, lesser known strips from Eagle, in particular a retrospective on PC49.
As usual, I didn't agree with some of what Mr. Mills wrote and, surprisingly for someone like me who adores foreign graphic novels, got a bit lost in M. Benoit's piece
As someone else noted, it was a bit difficult to make out some small parts of the writing when it was over colours or art.
I will try subsequent issues but I would prefer to see some histories of Britain's lesser known comic publishers, and bios of some of the great but nowadays neglected artists; Len Fullerton springs to mind, or Harry Banger. I hope they wont be considered too frivolous.

Thanks for the feedback and kind words. After each issue a survey will go to our readers for their feedback, including their favourite articles, what they didn't like and what they'd like to see. That will help inform future issues and make it a good read every time!

Back onto comic scene, I'm kind of confused now about the numbering. The issue I received in the mail is issue 0, does that mean another issue 1 is launching on May 1st?

Or is that the same issue 0?

The launch issue is Issue 0, with a cover date from May to August.
The first monthly issue is Issue 1, available 1st August with a cover date of September.
