The first strip was in the Triumph but both the Champion and Gem preceeded that but only with an advert for Superman appearing in Triumph. These were scanned in an old ComicsUK post:

It was me that bought it by the way. I seemed to remember there were ads in at least 4 of the Champions, 914, 917, 919 and 920, so I bought them all. I've got a couple of the 1939 Triumphs with the Superman strips but not the ones with Superman on the cover.

I've got a few superman triumphs listed on eBay at the minute, no superman covers, but if anyone is interested feel free to message me and I'll sell them at a 50% discount.

Very low start for this. I already have it but if anyone doesn't and has an interest, I think it should be a bargain: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Free-gifts-i ... 3429390051

A great price for an immaculate condition gift from #2 of the Avengers. Loaded in the wrong part of Ebay as well. I wasn't in contention as I bought the whole set in NM condition with the gifts from #1 and #2 in immaculate condition only a year or so ago for £250.

I went quite high on that but was still outbid, just goes to show that unused gifts are a case apart.

British marvels with the gifts have quite a following in the states too.

Someone is selling a free gift Boomerang given with the Topper but no indication as to which issue it came with. They want £227 for it. Seems a bit steep. Sorry but I still have no idea how to do a link.
