Please remember, a Christmas comic is for life, not just for Christmas.

Will was a man of his word, as always. The nine issues of JUDY and the seven issues of MANDY arrived from 30th Century Comics just after I had got back home from my pre-lunch pint in the White Hart, which was quite handy given that I had to sign for the parcel. I haven't yet removed them from their individual packaging, but within the hour they will have been inspected individually and then fed into their position in the appropriate pile. The issue numbers of JUDY are 671 : 673 : 674: 675 : 676 : 677 : 688 : 780 :, which complete the set for 1974, and 805. The issue numbers of MANDY are 459 : 462 : 463 : 470 : 482 : 483 : and 490. Only fourteen missing now in that year.

Brilliant, gentlemen.

I bought a complete year of Battle Picture Weeklys (1976), a complete year of Hotspurs (1978) and a complete year of Valiants. All of which just arrived. Not exactly Christmas presents but will be a nice read over the holidays.

On a more Christmas vein; yesterday I bought another copy of the Beano Annual 2020 but this time for myself to celebrate my last day of work for 2019.

On Christmas Eve, I will be out getting a copy of this year's The Dandy Annual.

What year of Valiant? I have the set and last year I read 1974 and 1975 as I read them as a kid when they came out. I loved them and even remembered small parts, especially the covers.

1966, Adam. And like you, I have fond memories reading it as a kid.

Just found out that my local WHSmith is closing in the New Year so purchased the following from them:

The Rupert Annual 2021
Beano Annual 2021
Viz Annual 2021

Feel sorry for the staff who may be made redundant. :(

Once I saw the Gnasher Snood, it was a no-brainer to buy the Beano Christmas issue! After all, he's an old dog that appeared in the world 4 months before I and we all need to do our utmost to support the Abyssinian Wire-Haired Tripe Hound Appreciation Society.
I started to say something sensible but my parents took over my brain!
