A chest full of dwarfs - with legs

Post by Kevan B »

Can anyone help me identify an early/mid 60s boys comic strip set in medieval times and featuring a young lad accompanied by a large wooden chest full of dwarfs ? The dwarfs' legs poked out from the bottom of the chest and 'the chest' then 'ran' around causing chaos, as I recall. This could have been an ongoing strip theme or possibly just a one-off story within it.
Thanks - Kevan.

Welcome to the board Kevan. Almost all I can think of is Luggage from the Terry Pratchett books but it is ringing vague bells. For some reason, I am thinking of the Power comics of the late 1960s. Can anyone else help?
I started to say something sensible but my parents took over my brain!

Thanks Colcool - The Luggage indeed. Apparently Terry P didn't know where he got the idea from, but I have a theory . . .
The comic could not have been later than 1966 by the way.
