Janus Stark Volume 2 just slipped through the letter box. Is anyone else picking up Treasury of British Comics publications?

I am not sure that I liked it
Thank SID, funny you say that as I looked at some images online and read more about the strips and it didn’t jump out at me at all. Maybe I’m just too old school!
I understand what you are saying, Adam. But there are a few promising strips and it is early days so... :xfingers:

Got the latest summer specials of The Dandy and Beano from the DCT shop (shops being closed).

Great reads especially The Dandy which has some all-new strips in it. Will miss Ken Harrison drawing Desperate Dan though.

Rebellion's Smash! came through the post yesterday.

Absolutely brilliant with my favourites being practically all of them (sorry, I didn't like the artwork for Mytek the Mighty).

Interesting that they decided to use Smash! as the title and not Knockout or Lion or Valiant or Lion and Valiant even.

I only wished that Rebellion made this a monthly.

If you got the newsletter from 30th Century Comics on Saturday, you will know it is reopening from Monday, but only via mail order.

I bought my first comic from them today in well over a year, and it was the 1982 Jackpot Summer Special.

I’ve just won on eBay the Publisher’s file copy of the last issue of Terrific, complete with all the information on who was paid what.

I look forward to hearing you post about that when you get it Shiner.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I had a fair spread of deliveries arrive today. Let's go through the pile and see what folk think of these.

TV Picture Stories Sword of Freedom, Fleetway Confessions Library 28, Micron Combat Library 17, Pearson Western Picture Library, Super Detective Library 159, Thriller PLs 213 and 214, Space PL Holiday Special, Third World War Books 1 to 6, 2 Joe Sacco Graphic Novels, Bolland Strips, unusually for me The Marvel Project and rounded it all off with the purchase of an original Warlord Secret Agent badge so that once again (for the first time in 40 years) I have a full Secret Agent set!

Either way, not the worst way to start the week.
I started to say something sensible but my parents took over my brain!

After years of waiting, Diana 199 with the first Steed & Peel Avengers. And now, years of waiting ahead of me as I wait for the comic to flatten out again, having been sent through the post in a tube.

Won in the early hours this morning in my neck of the woods, a bundle of Toppers from 1980 (including the first A4 issue)

Oddly enough, it was from a place I bought from in the past, the Border Bookshop at Todmorden

I once bought a number of comics from them early last decade, but had not bought from them in a very long time (I think it was sometime after the original owner had passed away, and his wife took over the business for about a year or so before it was sold)

I have sent it on to the parcel forwarding service I use when the postage reads "may not ship to Australia" .

I got an unusual one, 'The Merry Maker Comic' no. 3. Undated but I believe it is 1946. Very small at roughly A5 size and flimsy paper.

Pritned by Algar Printing.

Just arrived today my copy of the Smash! 2020 special.

It shouldn't be too much longer before the Roy of the Rovers special arrives at my doorstep. :)

Kempton Park antiques fair is back on July 7th. Just hope I can find my way there with my hair down over my eyes. Barbers will be a madhouse next Saturday week.
