Hi! I am looking to find a story that was published in a girls' magazine probably some time in the eighties. It is most likely IPC's Girl Magazine but it might also be another one (e.g. Misty).
The story is a complete (black-and-white?) picture story about a girl who keeps seeing the reflection of a scary adult-sized clown in windows and mirrors. But as the story progresses she realises that the clown is trying to help her. She used to have a little pierrot-type clown doll and I think we see a picture of her with her parents and the clown doll. It turns out her parents died (in some kind of accident?) but the girl has forgotten and the clown appears to help her remember/understand what happened.
If anyone has any leads, however tenuous, I'd be very grateful!

I know it wasn't Misty, Tammy or Jinty. It might have been one of the drawn stories that appeared in IPC's photo story comics, Girl or Dreamer.

Thanks! That helps to narrow it down. It was a drawn story and the most likely is that it was Girl.
