Apologies for down time

To everyone,

It came to my attention late yesterday (Thursday) that the Comics UK forum has been down for a few days. Many apologies, I was completely unaware of the problem.

I'm pleased to say that it has now been resolved. According to my hosting company, a file needed to be updated to block a specific bot (ClaudeBot) and some IP ranges, but it resulted in denying access to ALL visitors.

I'll keep my eye on it over the next few days.

Hi Al.
I have been extremely busy and finally had a week of Annual Leave.
I went out with the wife and did various things and one evening I thought it would be nice to update my Look-In section.
Imagine my surprise when it said I was "forbidden"?
So I emailed Andy but didn't hear back from him, probably because I believe his email addy was connected to this site.
So I then emailed Glenn (a member here and a friend through emails etc) and told him I have been banned from Comics UK!!!!
He said I hadn't and in reality the site was down.
Last time this occurred, I emailed Doug (Adam) and was sorted within 12 hours.
So I was going to do such but then I had life problems (nothing serious lol, TV broke and other things happened) so I forgot about this place as had to sort stuff.
But it's nice to see you back.
A lot of good people on this site.
And I met a hero of mine on here, Shaqui, who has been so kind to me and sent me stuff.
And a mention to Starscape who kindly sent me stuff and we texted a lot etc.
So my question is.....
Anyone fancy a pint?
Was thinking it might be nice to all meet up, well whoever wanted to ??
Steve Zodiac is probably my favourite writer here due to his North London humour.
So In honour of Steve, pie and mash followed by many ales.
