Is there to much Dennis The Menace in the Beano?
Over the past few issues we now get a double helping of Dennis. Is this too much?. This week we had 7 pages. I know he is the most popular character in the comic but is it a good idea. Why not just give him an extra page & give the other pages over to either new characters or old ones. The same goes to the extra Bash street stories normally done by Kev F, these are great but they also retain the normal center pages story sometimes giving 8 pages to one story. What are others views on this?

The Dennis the Menace and Gnasher annual will be twice as large..
I do like Tom's Dennis so don't have a problem.
I like long stories...like Kev F does..mixes it up a bit...

Well,
When I think of The Beano, I think Dennis and Bash St. Kids...

I bought one Beano a while back on the reccomendation of the forum and it had two Bash St stories! one normal one and one that was the second part of a mini-serial (where Janitors evil brother, Criminal, takes his place XD)

This modern trend of 'up-to-8-pages-on-a -single-story' technique is not the 'BEANO' I remember from childhood, but it is more suited to today's artwork, which is generally drawn on a noticably more compressed/smaller scale than in my day.....[wheeze! croak!----where's me false teef?]
