Has anyone been to one of these shows recently? Are they any good for British comics and comic art or are they likely going the way of the Memorabilia shows with mostly figures and NOT VERY GOOD toys? It's a bit worrying as the new show (April) seems to be TWO SHOWS IN ONE (Ooh, sounds like a fleetway comic merger), with the National Collectors Marketplace. Just sounds to me like there will be acres of space featuring figures and such and very little space for actual comics and art. Is it worth a visit?

Yes I've been been to a couple, and yes British Comics and Annuals tens to feature on quite highly on a number of stalls. But there is a usual crossover with some US titles, and other memorabilia.
Personally, I like the diversity, but hope it doesn't signal the end of events where UK comics are at the fore...

I believe the event is being organised by the lads from The Book Palace.
Spoke to them earlier this week, and seems like there?ll be something there for everyone.
I fancy a daytrip to London, and it is free admission to the show, so I?ll definitely go along and take a look.
Anyone else going along?

Sounds like a giggle. Intend to see that Cartoon Museum at some point as well.

I trust we'll all be at Comic Expo in Bristol in May? I've got a table there and will be flogging my Beano wares and doing caricatures for free. There's usually lots of writers and artists, though the comics on sale are mostly indies, manga and superheroes, very few Beanos or Dandies to be had.

Cheers chaps and apologies for not noticing the weblink the first time...d'oh!
In my defence, it was late, I was knackered and I am a soppy old moo anyway.
