Not always. The current issue of the Beano has an 8 page Bash Street drawn by Singled Out artist Tom Paterson, while the current BeanoMAX has a three page story drawn by Nigel Parkinson. I suspect he took a well earned holiday. Last month's 55th anniversary was ignored by the way. Couldn't Dave have included a birthday message in the Feb 14th issue? It's quite possible he won't be around for the 60th birthday after all, he'll be 80 that year. I can't think of anyone else who was still drawing for the Beano at that age.
