A CELTIC OR BRITON CHARACTER NAMED SHANE, ANYONE REMEMBER?

I left the UK when I was around 13 years old. I recalled reading the comics with the character who always fought various battles and he was a Celt or Briton named Shane. I would love to buy them up again. But I do not know what was the title or which company printed them. I would welcome any help or information!

is this slaine you are thinking of?he has appeared in 2000ad since about 1983, and has been in it since, he is due to return to 2000ad this christmas.he was a celtic warrior kicked out of his tribe for doing the dirt with the kings intended, he wandered around getting into all sorts of adventure,and i wont tell any more in case u want to chase them up.hope this is some help

Yes, you got it right-it was Slaine I am thinking of! I just vaguely remembered his name being a Celtic and started with "S-something." So, the comic is 2000 AD. I take that Slaine is not in each issue, do I understand you correctly? If so, how do I know which issue he was in? Many thanks for your information! It certainly helps a lot!

Rio - Titan books (and some other publishers) have re packaged some of the strips from 200AD such as Judge Dreed, Rouge Trooper , Slaine etc in book form , so you will have some complete stories all in one publications of one character/story arc (a la Slaine) - Ive seen the Simon Bisley artwork / stories of Slaine and Glen Fabrys Slaine work all collected in 2 books, I'm sure there are others - saves you picking up all the individual comics , although not all the Slaine work is packaged in this format.

Rio - You can also pick them up in "graphic novel" reprint form - Titan have 2 or 3 Slaine biiks out at the moment, any forbiden planet and some bookstores are bound to have them.
