Talk here about just about anything associated with British comics or story papers and the industry that does not fit in any other forum.
There are separate fora open to registered members for discussing specific comics, artists, websites etc.
Well it?s certainly an oddity. But if you really wanted this info (or had access to it) think how long it would take to research and type out. It?s certainly entrepreneurial, but I don?t think they?ll make a fortune with it.
Surely any collector of Commando comics would already have such a list? DC Thomson ran a similar feature in the back of their Commando comics over a period of several issues recently. A cynical person might suggest that was where the seller got his info from.

Either that or doing a cut and paste job from Vic Whittle's marvellous British comics site!
I started to say something sensible but my parents took over my brain!
All jokes aside(I hope you are joking)but this is nothing short of spam or pyramid scheming. This person is obviously, judging by the comments of his adoring flock on eBay,raking in a lot of money based on someone else's research,in this case,DC Thomson(It's blatantly clear where he got his data from).I looked for a "Report Abuse" section on eBay,but tired eyes could not find it.Imagine selling the same item,NOT your own, over and over again.Real collectors would give it out free to other fans.Yet another instance of money grabbing slime acting as comics fans. The only thing they're interested in is cash,YOUR cash!!!
Captain Storm I have to disagree with what you have said.
I believe his auction description describes very well what he is selling and I can't see where he is trying to mislead any potential buyers. I can see that he has sold the list twice and can see one positive feedback for it. Most of his trades are in early good condition commando comics.
The seller says I have done all the hard work in listing the Commando comics checklist onto excel. I agree this is the hard part, the data is available from the comics or the list published in the comics or on Vic's site. I estimate it would take me over an hour to copy this data into Excel from Vic's site. ( Stupid me I just saw that Vic presents the data in a list of titles. So not 1 hr but probably 10 minutes, my argument stays the same ) much more if I was to have to enter the data from the comics themselves. So am I prepared to pay ?5.00 to have someone do this for me? That is something a potential buyer has to decide for himself?
While I'm not likely to buy it and it doesn't appear that you will buy it, I don't think that is enough reason to try and report this to ebay.
Fair point,Rod I do on occasion get a little emotional when reading about stuff like that. While my comments may seem like a personal attack, they most certainly are not, more a broad umbrella attack on people who seem IMHO to stray outside the true ethos of comic collecting and sharing and are only interested in making a fast buck.Perhaps I should just have said it was cheeky of him Still,we're all entitled to our opinions,so no hard feelings to one and all.
