It's going live.

We all have to sit round a table in Leeds (for it's central location) and each copy will be drawn as and when someone wants one.
It's going to be an incredible strain on us all, and I've been warned that they'll cut my pay if I go over the lines.

Very high if retailers are wise enough to order it.

I understand it will be the same size as the Beano. See discussions on other threads as to why this might be (consolidation of paper types and sizes)

Andy Fanton's George Vs. Dragon will be in there from the first new-look issue...

See his site at http://www.andyfanton.com and read 'Dandy Gets Dandier'

(Sorry can't use the url link from my mobile)
lol, I mentioned before about him using an old logo in his earlier blog post (from August, before we knew about the relaunch) - but it turns out even if he'd used the current one it would've still been outdated! Here's the exact link to to his latest post:

I looked for Dandy Extreme in 5 shops today and didn't see it anywhere unless it's sold out or it's not out yet.
WHSmith seem to have stopped selling it, but I've found it in Tesco and NewsPlus (which is owned by Londis).

i think/hope it will be the exact same format as beano with the beano also going up to a quid & a half, going weekly again and the beano and dandy will sit side by side on the retailers shelves as dandy is very poorly distributed that is why sales have went down besides extreme being crap but i aint a kid so what do i know.but i wish they will also drop the so called free gifts and do it maybe twice a year so they wont be bagged and people can flick through em.
also drop the price maybe 50p a week as both marvel and dc have announced this week they are cutting a dollar of all their comics due to internet and digital age or summat like that.
(But then again i am going to win 120 million on euro millions and get the rights to every fleetway and defunct comic and start doing em all weekly again for this generation which in turn will create loads a new jobs for writers /artists/printers etc and then get knighted for making britain's comic industry great again.well i can dream about the first bit at least.lol.)

Thanks Digi I found it in Tesco, it certainly needs some sort of revamp :coat:

As you'll see in the ad for next issue The Dandy is dropping from £2.50 to £1.50. Isn't that enough?

(As for Marvel and DC, most of their comics have been $2.99 for months. It's just the higher priced ones that are cutting back story pages to match the $2.99 titles.)

I'd say it is enough, so long as it doesn't turn out to be a one or two issues only introductory offer like the 2004 relaunch's initial 99p price (which was done to ease a sharp increase from 80p to £1.20 - but Dandy did have 44 pages at the time compared to the 85p Beano's and pre 2004 Dandy's 32 - those extra pages and the higher quality paper justified it).

Technically it's a revamp rather than a relaunch but given that there's a three week gap between the current Xtreme and the new Dandy it does indeed feel like a relaunch! :)

I've been giving out hints for two weeks and nobody's even come close yet. It's nearly all there if you can find it.
Here's a hint: Everybody is excited about it- everybody.
