The PR tenders aren't late.
They just didn't come out with the news straight away.

Speaking of licensed strips, is Bogies staying?

Yes.
With a couple of little tweeks.
There'll be other non-licensed stuff from me too.

I didn't know you were tweaking your Bogies for it Nigel.

So more clues are emerging folks. You practically have the entire comic mapped out now! :)

So what do we actually 'know'

1) Jamie Smart is still doing Desperate Dan plus at least 1 more strip
2) Nigel Auchterlounie is still doing Bogies plus 'other non-licensed stuff'
3) Andy Fanton will be in there with 'George V. Dragon'
4) Alexander Matthews will be giving us 'Robot On The Run'
5) The Dandy will be £1.50

What is not announced, but we are guessing, is that Nigel, Laura and Lew will be gracing the pages but we still do not know what delights they will be bringing us!

I wonder what will be revealed tomorrow :?: (Oct 13th diarised as advised by NP!)

Website launch, perhaps (and thus, logo reveal)? I noticed "Coming soon...3" was up at dandy.co.uk yesterday. It's back to the usual forward to dandy.com now though.

Comment on Lew's blog confirms something from Nigel Parkinson.

My only negative response to it was one of jealousy when I saw what Nigel Parkinson was doing.

Considering Nigel had himself hinted that he was in the know about the revamp that's not a huge surprise. Great though innit? :)

Yeah, I figured the reason he wouldn't say what he does for the Dandy is because both of his current strips (Cuddles and Dimples and Marvo the Wonder Chicken) were gone and he'd be doing something new. When Spencer mentioned that we were only guessing about that, I checked your blog (and NP's, which had no new updates) and found that comment from the other Nigel. So Spencer, it's not a guess now. While he quite rightly wants to keep the surprise going a little longer, we do now know for sure that he is doing something, just not what. Sounds like he'll spill the beans tomorrow anyway.

In Hull perhaps but I've seen it in Smiths around here.

(One indie newsagent had 10 copies of the current Xtreme, which was perhaps a glitch of some sort. Let's hope he orders the same for the revamp!)

Guess the copies in our branches were going unsold too often. It'll be interesting to see if it re-appears there at the end of the month. Yesterday they still had four copies of Classics left, when a new (and final) one is due out tomorrow. Makes me wonder if they would've stopped selling that too soon enough... moot point now of course.

Well we have a logo (very different!) and know it'll be wall-to-wall comic strips like The Beano anyway.

Very nice logo - and lots of new artists, I assume that will be good for the industry as well - I wonder if folk will start with "I miss the Xtreme Dandy" threads lol - suprosed to see DCT take on such a venture in the current economic climate but at £1.50 that's pretty canny pricing - well done to them (and Nigel)
