Discuss all the girls comics that have appeared over the years. Excellent titles like Bunty, Misty, Spellbound, Tammy and June, amongst many others, can all be remembered here.
Not 100% certain about either of these: the first (reading Shakespeare on the bank of the River Avon) could be the work of either Purita or her hubby, while I suspect that the second one might be by Maria Paschal. I'm sure they aren't by British artists however, and either way I feel it'd be a shame not to post them:
...I love the way these covers reflect the changing seasons by the way. I just wish it was as easy to rush forward to Spring in real life!
Yah, I say first one is by Ortega and second one I'm in doubt too. It seems ver y Maria Pascual, but then in those years they all seemed to use the same kind of style in the covers.
Thanks though!
As my scanner is fired up already here are six more Princess Tina covers from 1971. To my eye the unsigned covers for May 8th and 22nd look more like her husband's work, but the other four are clearly by Purita herself (I love the fairground one! ):
They are Stunning!! Actually the last one, the face of the girl was used as well as a cover for the pocket stories of Girl.
Thanks a million. Sorry I am nearly missing from the site these days but Ia am very very bussy at the moment with different things. And next week is time to start with the December Magazine!! Why the day has so little hours?? I need moooore!! XDD
...And here's a short tale from January 1971 where we learn that, next to her dear old dad, a young girl's heart will always belong to her pet zebra! Unfortunately it's unsigned, but to my inexpert eye it looks very much like Purita's work.
...Finally, here's the first page of another unsigned story that I'm slightly less sure about. If you think this is one of hers as well I'll be happy to add the other two pages.
Hi Phil! Last story, is not from Purita. I think it might be from Bosom. It looks very much like Franch's work but I think it might be Bosom or some one trying to look like him. It is definetely not Purita's, even if the girl tries to look like Patty.
