The 'real creative stuff' in Disney-styled animation especially is in the shape of animation rough drawings, and this of course is where it all starts: I done 8 seconds of animation of this character owned by Universal/Amblimation, although the characterization, poses, in fact all artwork here sprung from my own imagination, without copying any other artist's work.
I actually enjoyed coming up with this stuff, although there is very little work available in hand-drawn animation anywhere on the planet today, so regretfully I knocked it on the head a good while back.

I keep meaning to submit these drawings to ace animation site CARTOON BREW, in the hope it will highlight the conditions---and restrictions------that can occur within the factory-like atmosphere of a Hollywood-styled animation studio, at least in the hand-drawn days. I'll have to get sharper pics than these first, though.
NEXT POSTING:
the second in my 'new character strip' test doodlings, the second of a projected twelve or so planned for this year.
