The Beano book 1952 and Dandy book 1957 look to be in good shape and you can get replacement spines for them nowadays

there and i thought they where looking quite tatty,
not sure i want to mess about with them, will probably just sell them as they are
i just wanted to known more about them before i sold them.

I've seen them in much worse condition that the 2 pictured at least the covers aren't hanging off are the contents clean? IE no scribbling or pages missing,torn etc

I must admit i did read through them and have found no scribbling and stuff in them
not really my sort of reading, i used to read Amazing spider man and the Incredible Hulk back in the 70's, i still have all those comics and they will also be going up for sale too

Maybe you could also try 30th century comics in london as they buy english & american stuff which yours seem to be a mixture of,they are the only comic shop i know which still sell english comics,you may get something for the beano & dandy books.I still miss heroes in islington i used to go there after school for english stuff

There's a large bric-a-brac shop in Norwich that sells old comic annuals as well. Can't remember the name, but it's not far from Anglia Square, if you know the area. They had a Dandy Book and three Beezer books from the 50s when I looked in there a couple of months ago, along with a couple of Eagle annuals from the same era and a few 1930s annuals with titles I didn't recognise.

I've seen those Lion/Tiger annuals in excellent condition priced at only £3/£4 recently and yours are extremely worn, so I wouldn't expect to get rich from those few.

I'd agree with you that the Beano and Dandy ones look very tatty, too - and getting replacement spines might knock their value down considerably more - but they might be the most likely to sell (relative to being in poor condition).

But it looks like they were well read, much loved comics and books in their day, which is a nice thing!

Are you not aware of Google, though, jazz1642? You only have to type 30th Century Comics into it to find out if they have a website; similarly, just type in the comic titles and publisher to find out information on them; very easy research.

They do have a website with an online catalogue. Also their email address is sales@30thcenturycomics.co.uk and their phone number is 0208 788 2052. Their shop is in Putney, near to the bridge, and they are always helpful.

^Not everywhere on that list will be the right type of shop. It has Amazing Fantasy listed - they don't buy comics from the general public, they just sell comic books and fanzines (they used to sell Crikey!).

Hmm, it says they have a competitor, Starrider, on the other side of Anlaby Road, but that must be out of date, Starrider is on George Street now, and does buy from the public. I go past it when I go to the barbers, which is on the same street.

I just checked this web site as i didn't even know it existed but it is well out of date krypton komics left tottenham about 7-8 years ago to go blackhorse road mighty world of comicana changed its name to a place in space for a few months then was forced out of shaftsbury avenue to to the tottenham court rd tube works & was supposed to go mortimer st or something in december but no sign of it,orbital was also forced to move because of said works but are now by leicester square tube,also Gosh has now moved to soho & im sure a few more listed don't exist anymore either.

I don't know about the comic shops darn sarf as I don't live down there and wouldn't want to either tbh but I only posted the link as an alternative to other sources and I forgot to post another link for www.26pigs.com that is a site that I've sold and bought comics from in the past too.
