a fantasy world..where would you like to be..for a while..

Post by Peter Gray »

Been reading Oor Wullie and The Broons by Dudley..and you do get to know the characters well..its almost like a soap..wanting to know what they are up to next..

I found Dennis the Menace like that by David Sutherland..with the two gangs menaces and the softies..specially when the story carried on into next week (which they should do more of)

It would be fun if Korky and Biffo were real and you bumped into them in the street...or if you were young and were actually Buster friends of Biffo what a strange thing that would be...a talking bear friend...
or a talking walking cat......it would be hard to get used to...But the winning smile would win us over..
Eggo the ostritch saying what nice weather we are having..
what great fantasys if you imagine you were there!!!
Desperate Dan as a neighbour would cause loads of repair bills..:)

superheros became more in our universe like Spider-man in New York..

What fun fantasys they are no wonder we read everyweek..

There really ought to be a DC Thomson theme park like Disneyland, filled with Spacewhacker rides, life-size recreations of Bash Street School and loads of costumed actors dressed as Dennis, Korky, Bananaman, etc.

...Unless there already is one of course!

Yes, I'm afraid it was rethemed as Wild Asia in 2010.

Ah, yes, I remember Beanoland. The last time I was there, I discovered the large shop-like building (there's always one) had a TV in one corner which was continuously playing the Beano Videos and episodes of the first Dennis the Menace cartoon. I sat down in front of it and watched through the lot. I don't think I was meant to, but I did.
Help! Help! We're being held prisoner in a signature factory!

Pity they dont do that for the Saw rides at alton towers & show the Saw films in the shop that would keep the kids quiet as they would be so scared

When I was a kid I wanted to go to Bash Street school, the pranks were always so much better there!

At this time of year, put me into the saucy seaside postcard world of the 60s and 70s: pneumatic 'babes' and dominating mother-in-laws on sunny beaches. Not very PC but where I long to be!

I'd like to pay a visit to The Bumpkin Billionaires.

I'd gladly help them out by taking a few million quid off their hands, although I know The Bank Manager would eventually get it all back.

Yes, I think being in Krazy Town with the toothy funster and his endless gags would drive me bonkers, although as you say it might be worth risking it for a few minutes with luscious Lily Pop
