Roy of the Rovers

Post by Bob Frankland »

A while back there was a thread on this site regarding a new version of Roy of the Rovers.

I can't find it now, any ideas?

Digifriend that one I was aware of.

If I wasn't such a luddite I would attach a reference.

I downloaded a page from the the comic strip in September 2011.

That one-off strip is the only thing that springs to my mind.

Are you sure it wasn't a thread about the upcoming new Striker series?

The strip I downloaded refered to the involvement of Roy Race's grandad in his development. Shows a young Roy Race playing football in a park with grandad looking on. Final frame shows an adult Roy Race in Melchester Rovers kit red shirt with yellow sleeves, blue shorts.

The illustration style is art as apposed to comic strip, and was produced in full colour.

I think that was a sequence from Roy of the Rovers Monthly I posted on this thread:

...Unfortunately the scanned pages don't seem to be visible anymore. :-(
