I'm afraid I won't be E-Baying Ziggy as I don't own my own computer & wouldn't know the first thing about setting up an account or on how to avoid the security pitfalls (I'm using a library one now).

Am hoping to save & raise enough cash to buy one & possibly paying to get someone in to mentor me.

I have heard "Ziggy" magazine got banned in the end over rude content.

Aha, I've found some issues on there which I've put bids on. Other ones are on sale for £6-8 each, dunno if they're actually selling at those prices, though.
One of the Ebay auctions says that it was "mail order only" because it was "too hardcore". Though this may just have been the creator's inability to persuade distributors to get it into shops (of course, back then small publishers could at least try, unlike today!). The edited photo-covers look quite good, considering that at the time owning a computer at all, let alone powerful image editing software, cost many thousands.

Getting a bunch of old Beano annuals tomorrow, which are apparently 70s and 80s era. My brother's ex-girlfriend moved house, and it seems the previous occupants left them in the loft.

All you need these days is a phone. :o

Though realistically, unless you have some pressing need for an actual computer (word processing/graphics manipulation/spreadsheets/etc) you'd probably be better off going for a tablet. Much less of a learning curve, and no problems making sure that all the bits talk to all the other bits.

Personally I Image my iPad, but I'm told the Nexus 7 is pretty good (and a lot cheaper).

But to get back on topic, today I picked up half a dozen Tammys that will fill a few gaps, but are probably of little interest to anyone who is not me.

Same price as a modern issue, lol. Speaking of which, of course I bought the latest Beano and Dandy today. Only two more Dandys left... :(

Thanks for the info, will give me an idea of what to get should the time & money come (soon hopefully (though I'd probably need a mentor).

Anyway on comic buys, I went to a very windswept car boot sale in Bolton netting myself a:
1966 Girlsworld Annual
1970 Bunty Annual (minus dustjacket)
1971 Sally Annual
1975 Sandie Annual

Meanwhile last Wednesday a visit to the YMCA charity shop in Bolton landed me the first two "The Avengers" annual (the 60s Brit TV series that is) (I got the third in a car boot sale a few months back).
Tehy were both priced by a valuer - the ladt in the shop told me that when they first came in a shopper offered silly money for all 3 annuals - but they refused as shop procedure meant not until a valuer had seen them.
Good bit of timing there.

Well, from WHSmiths today, I picked up the new ish (#10) of Panini's Thundercats for my son only to find that it's got no comic story content at all! Just puzzles and posters - most disappointing :( . I'll give it one more month to see if this is just a blip otherwise it's cancelled.

Today I recieved an ebay buy, an issue of Sally from just before it merged with Tammy (Tammy issue 3 is advertised in it). Sadly the seller had not only folded it to fit in a smaller envelope, but thoughtfully stuck a post-it note on the front cover. Luckily neither monstrosity seems to have harmed it to any degree.
