I want both but it's way to early for Christmas.

Maybe I'll buy them and save them until the Beano's 3 week Christmas break.

Out of 65 pages for me there is 20 pages i've not seen before...all the rest have been reprinted before...or very recent and own..
So a bit disappointing...
The Dandy one is a lot better!!

Does anybody else agree with me that some of the older reprints look unnecessarily washed out? :?

Yes I know what you mean. All the solid blacks aren't so solid any more. Must be the way they had to adjust it for reprinting from the old comics.

Neither of these issues was in my local whs :( perhaps they may hold putting them on shelves for a few weeks unless they sold put already.

My local Smiths (Rickmansworth) had about 5 copies of each when I went there earlier today!.

Got them from Smiths at Waterloo station. I'm wondering why the Beano one didn't use the inside covers for images as the Dandy did? Agree printing is hard on my middle aged eyes.

Some branches do seem to hold things back. It took a while for my local WHS to put the summer specials out. Try again at the weekend or next week.

I haven't been able to find them in either the Wigan or Manchester Arndale branches of WHS yet, but in my experience they seem to put them on sale later than other branches so I'm not too worried. Both still had the Dandy and Beano summer special things on sale.

Couldn't find it in the WHSmiths in Southampton but they had the Beano 75th anniversary special there which I didn't have and I got that instead.
