"NEW" ALBION SPIN OFF TITLE OF OLD UK COMIC CHARAC

I read over the X mas period (in "Comics International" issue 192) that Wildstorm / DC comics new UK "revival" character is someone calle "Thunderbolt Jaxon" which semingly ran in "Comet" and Knockout" in he 1940's - the character (the original UK version was atypeof Mighty Thor type although it will be differentin the new version toe written by Dave Gibbons and drawn by John Higgins (looks ok) Saying that I would have prefered to see a more mainstream 1960s (onwards ) revival -Adam Eterno or Sllbinder type material - still how long till the revive "Frankie Stein" and "Wear em out Wilf"

Shame the more interesting characters such as Adam Eterno aren't being revived.

Unlike the Albion mini, let's hope they get it out on time. Still waiting for issue 4 ( I think - it's been a while since the last one ).

If real pros like Gibbons and Higgins are the creative team, Thunderbolt Jaxon will run on schedule. According to the guy at my local comic shop, the Albion delays are all down to penciler Shane Oakley - a decent illustrator but quite literally the slowest artist in British comics. I've got a feeling that WildStorm have desolicited Albion so they can wait until Oakley has finished the pencils for #3 - #6 and then release them on a pretty much monthly schedule. I'm not holding my breath - which IS a shame cause I'm enjoying the book.

Yeah, sorry chaps, that was a typo. I've got issue 3 myself (and very good it was too)! I meant to say issues #4 to #6 have been desolicited for the time being (which they definitely have been - just get your comic shop to check with Diamond Distributors). I know that Leah Moore and John Reppion had one of their scripts stolen a while back, but if you check out the Albion boards on their website - http://www.moorereppion.com - you'll see that they handed in their final, approved-by-Alan-Moore script to WildStorm ages ago. Leah and John aren't responsible for Albion's erratic publication (and it won't be WildStorm, who would obvioulsy prefer to have a regularly scheduled book on their hands).
