Free comic gifts - Panini stickers
Re: Free comic gifts - Panini stickers
I collected some stickers for the 2006 World Cup and got the elusive Wayne Rooney sticker so I got my dad to stick it in because I didn't want to stick it in badly. Anyway my dad stuck it in and it was crooked and bent. I have never collected stickers after that.

yep, phoenix, those were the football cards to which I was referring. I bet you don't have them wound together with a rubber band in your coat pocket like I did back at school.

This brings back memories! I collected every sticker. I remember the artwork was incredible - large, double page spreads packed with detail. My six year-old self drew endless prehistoric scenes using plants and animals copied from this book. Thanks for reminding me, babington!babington wrote:The one I always loved was the Prehistoric Animals album, but I don't think it was ever a free gift.

glad you like it MikeD - I'm lucky enough to have a complete album - they come up on ebay occasionally... and yes, the art is fantastic and inspired me to draw a LOT of dinosaurs!

Not Panini stickers but collector cards. The link will take you to a Speedway site with scans of rider cards given away with Rover, Adventure and Wizard:-

The speedway aces were twinned each week, Paw, with either an English or an Australian Test Match cricketer. Roger Frogley was twinned with the Aussie batsman W. M. Woodfull. The three lists are in their appropriate positions in my Free Gifts In The Big Five. See below for the list associated with The Wizard. Apologies for the poor quality scan.paw broon wrote:Not Panini stickers but collector cards. I still have the Sky Ray Doctor Who and the Daleks album from the late sixties but no cards in it. However instead of a blank space where the card went there is a black and white image of the card itself so at least you know what it should look like. And I'm surprised no-one has mentioned the Beano-Dandy 50 years album. I think I have three or four of them but again I didn't buy the cards.
