Cover designs for the new Beano, Dandy and Classic Beano and Dandy annuals are out.

They turned up on the Unofficial Beano Forum last night, but I don't know what the source was. I've asked the uploader to tell us.

I am the person who posted them, I often read the forums but don't often post. Anyway the source is the book depository.BeanoMaster wrote:I doubt the person who posted them will be back soon. That was his second post his first was ages ago.

Re: 2015 Annuals
I'm inclined to get The Beano and The Dandy -The Comics That Won The War. However, I have to hope that there's no duplication of any of the pages in The Beano and The Dandy - Favourites From The Forties.

There is a saying in English, Bri, that you are probably aware of. Never judge a book by its cover.big bad bri wrote:The joint beano dandy effort looks awful but perhaps its just the purple

Re: 2015 Annuals
I thought it looked classy with the gold logo. There's no guarantee it's the final cover of course.big bad bri wrote:The Dandy cover looks the best The joint beano dandy effort looks awful but perhaps its just the purple
Re: 2015 Annuals
There's also the Oor Wullie annual and the Broons/Oor Wullie covers up too. Interesting to see the "in full colour for the first time ever" description on the Broons/Oor Wullie (not strictly true, because they published some strips in colour in the 90's didn't they?)

Re: 2015 Annuals
They probably mean the strips being reprinted are in colour for the first time. Maybe someone decided that black and white doesn't sell?

Re: 2015 Annuals
What is the recent phil comics effort that you talk of?
Re: 2015 Annuals
I think he was referring to The Dandy and the Beano -Classic Christmas Covers (1937-1969)
Re: 2015 Annuals
Hmmm. Methinks I spot a common theme between The Dandy Annual 2015 and another older Dandy Book (1944?).
Only this time, Korky is smart enough not to try and stop Dan's shot.
What do you think???
A brilliant cover in any case.

Reading comics since 1970. My Current Regulars are: 2000 AD (1977-), Judge Dredd Megazine (1990-), Spaceship Away (2003-), Commando (2013-), Deadpool and Wolverine (2023-), Quantum (2023-), Fantastic Four (2025-).
Re: 2015 Annuals
That's because Brassneck took over his goalkeeper spot and Korky's playing outfield instead.
And anyway, how do we know that Brassneck won't share Korky's fate on the back cover?
