DC Thomson - `Fun` title free gifts - the 70s.

As Ray is not sure about continuing gifts into the 70s; I can at least list those from the five DCT `Fun` titles: namely, `Dandy` `Beano` `Topper` `Beezer` and `Sparky` Maybe, Ray or Phoenix -or hen, might have list of Girl/Adventure/Nursery gifts for that decade!

Here goes! 1970, and the decades first year saw just `Topper` and `Sparky` giving gifts!

TOPPER

No 923 (10 Oct) `The Twin Spin`
No 924 (17 Oct) `The Topper Glow Mask` (I had this- it was "Splodge the Goblin" ) scared my sister with it!

SPARKY

No 261 (17 Jan) `Rub-A-Dub-Dub` Balloon
No 262 (24 Jan) `Flicker Pics` (In my opinion, the `Pics` were Sparky's finest ever gift and rather unique as I have never heard of another gift similar in any other comics!.

In 1970, with the arrival of the revamped Wizard, Thomsons were publishing 16 different juvenile titles of which four failed to give a free gift, Dandy, Beano, Rover and once again, it seems, Bimbo. The other 12 between them gave away 40 gifts and the individual issues of juvenile titles for the year was 826.

Moving on to 1971 for the `Fun Five` , and this was the first time since 1960 that `Dandy` & `Beano` gave gifts! Dandy expanded to 20 pages in its re-vamp but I don't know if Beano did the same! All five `Fun` titles gave gifts in 71!
