I could well be wrong but since Tiger and Princess Tina continued to be published by Fleetway after 1970 that sounds to me as though any characters who made their first appearances there after that date should now belong to Rebellion. :?
Thanks for putting me straight on that, Phil. I was under a different impression but clearly I was mistaken, sorry.
:!: That would also mean that I was right about One Eyed Jack being owned by Rebellion after all, wouldn't it?

Although nothing of note to be found in UK comics when visiting charity shops and carboots I'm still adding to my comic collection.Looking through the charity shop US comic boxes nothing really caught my attention and therefore as a stop gap measure just added another 'MAZING MAN to my collection, this is a beautifully drawn '80s humour comic of which 15 issues were produced, I now have 3 and I think there are two more available at the charity shop which I will probably buy in the coming weeks , I also picked up Capt.UNIVERSE a Steve Dikto drawn comic both were a £1each.

Not really a fan of modern comics but the standout comic for me in the 50p Forbidden Planet boxes was IDW MICKEY MOUSE which contains reprint stories and I was pleased to add this to my IDW Disney collection. Also because of the cover art picked up Masters of Kung Fu , this was a mistake because nearly all the comic pages are taken up with fighting, It must have been the storytellers day off :D

Comic related Items seem to be clearing slowly in charity shops and '70s'80s annuals abound. The Thunderbird comics are still there after a number of weeks Oxfam still holding on to 43 issues.
Oxfam do have a Z Cars annual that I like but not the £5.99p price tag although to be fair that is a reasonable price, I will wait 'till it comes around again at some carboot or other.

We'll see. I'd heard that stories from Valiant, Lion, and Tiger were not part of the deal but hopefully they are. There's no mention of characters who originated in those comics in John's listings of what Rebellion own:

Also got all the Diana's with the colour Avengers strip which I'm gonna get bound into a complete one off volume and then resell.

Also took a punt on a job lot of 100 'vintage' comics, some of which look interesting...

We shall see!
With your last two brilliant "Vintage comics" purchases, you are probably on a roll! The Solo #1's price seems to be increasing a lot recently.

I've spoken to Rebellion about all these questions on ownership. For now, all they have to say is

"While we’re obviously delighted with people’s interest in the IPC Youth Group titles, we feel it would be premature to announce anything definitive at this stage."

As you'll have seen from downthetubes, there are already hints of some Roy of the Rovers publishing in 2017 - but no indication yet if this is new material or collections.

That's wonderful Sue! Apparently chinoiserie enjoyed a significant revival of interest at that period, reaching a peak during the First World War with the phenomenal success of the musical comedy Chu Chin Chow. Alfred Bestall was so besotted by it that he continued to feature similar imagery throughout his run on Rupert Bear.

I got excited for a bit there but quickly realised I was confusing Chinoiserie with Vienoisserie(s), and I'm sure we all love pastries.
This week the postie brought 3 comics, Annie Oakley - Dell #575; a nice Cowboy Comics #122 - Kit Carson, and #2 of the Top Sellers reprint of the Dell Mike Shayne, with some DC reprints in the back.
The British guide says that there was only one issue of this title but as I have #2, the guide's obviously wrong, so, does anyone know if there were other numbers of Mike Shayne?
Today, I received an issue of TV Photo Stories. NN but it's a William Tell story, The Killer. (1960). Now, when I saw this listed, I assumed it was a pocket library, like most of the other Pearson tv related titles, but no, it's 7 1/2 inches by 9 3/4 inches. Color photo cover with b&w photo stills inside. Great fun.

A few little gems over the last week or two. In no particular order:

Look-In #1 with free gift - ITV - 1971 - Loving this!
The Lone Ranger #1 - Egmont - 1977
Johnny Red #1-8 - 2015/16
Air War Picture Stories #1 - Death from the Skies - Pearson - 1961
Beeb #1 + gift - BBC - 1985
Combat Library #1 - GM Smith - Wings of Resistance - 1959
Target #1 + gift - Polystyle - 1977
Tornado 1-22 + #1 gift + Holiday special - IPC - 1979 (an upgrade in quality on my existing set)
Captain America #1 + sticker - Marvel - 1980
Valiant Free gift from #1 - League ladders (I had to!)
Cor! #1 in poor condition but it goes with the free gift I have
House of Hammer #1 - General - 1976 (probably more of a magazine but feels like a comic)
Logan's Run #1 - Marvel All Colour comic - 1977
Valiant 1976 Book of Mystery and Magic - Looking forward to receiving this to add to my Valiant collection
Plug #3 with free gift - DCT - 1977
Funfair comic #1 and only - Philmar - 1947
3 Star Adventures NN - Foldes - 40s? - Still doing research on this as I can't find it in the GCD. May be one and only.
Deadshot Dick #1 and only? - Foldes - 1947
Calling Matt Hardy NN - Foldes - 1947? - Still doing research on this as well as I can't find it in the GCD. May also be the only one.

Any info on the Foldes comics very welcome please?

Busy couple of weeks as I also picked up quite a bit to re-sell but I've managed to sell loads of comics to cover it all and I'm taking a few days off this week to get some household chores done, finish off cataloguing my comic collection (at long last) and I'm also going to try and get a lot loaded on Ebay to cover some bits and bobs I fancy from 30th Century!

Denis Gifford lists two unnumbered issues of 3-Star Adventures. He says the first has a blue/red/orange cover.

The British guide says there was one Calling Matt Hardy, nn, Rex Hart art, 1947.
Deadshot Dick, nn (so something wrong there as your issue is numbered) Rex Hart art, 1948
Oddly, 3 Star Adventure is listed as R Turvey/B.C.M. Demob publication from 1947 and suggests there were 2 issues. Both with Rex Hart art.
Foldes, who had their plant in Joppa, just outside Edinburgh, produced a lot of one-off titles and apart from Ace Hart in Superthriller, they are pretty obscure.
I hope others can come up with more info. on thes and other Foldes Press titles.

Thanks for that. I've seen both covers and they're both blue, red and orange! I'll have to get hold of the other one and work it out.

Thanks Paw, I thought of you when I posted the question. You are correct about the Deadshot Dick not being numbered as it was the only one. Great news that there was only 1 Matt Hardy and I now have it.

I've seen both issues of the 3 Star Adventure so I'm going to get the other one if there were only 2. I can hopefully then work out which one came first.
