No, but they already announced it. FF#8 is out now. FF#12 will be released alongside Fantastic Four #600 (so FF#11 also counts as Fantastic Four #599, likewise FF 1-10 are also Fantastic Four 589-598). Effectively, they've announced four months early that the Torch is coming back.

After being tipped off by Paw Broon on this site, I attended my first Glasgow Comic Mart for at least 4 years (I thought the internet had killed it off?).
Spent over £100, but unfortunately there was the usual shortage of any british comics limiting my UK purchases to just 3 books at only £2 each - Victor 1973, Beezer 1974 & Dandy And Beano - Fifty Years of Annuals.

I got a great find at a local charity `do` There were some stalls selling Books /Annuals
And I got for £2 each the first Dr Who annual and the one with the Cybermen breaking into the Tardis cover (Released in 1968) The first was near mint-the 1968 one V.good plus i'd say!

I also got (for 50p) a 1968 copy of the Conan Doyle short story collection "When the World Screamed" A very good day indeed!

Wow! Original Ken Reid artwork is highly sought after and very hard to find. I bet it cost a bit more than £5 though! :)

The Ken Reid page was from the Compal auctions last month. I won't be telling my lady what I paid for it. she would not approve. Very happy to have something by one of my top five favourite comic artists though.

Glad you got there. Sorry we didn't bump into each other - or did we? You're correct about the lack of British titles, although one dealer was bagging up a big pile of Warlord for a punter just as I arrived at his table. Also noted that City Centre Comics had loads of Commando and a few other war titles and I also got a NEL Spanish reprint from them along with Brave and the Bold '38 (Suicide Squad). I was also given Tod Holton, Super Green Beret #1 & 2 by the guy to whom I had sold them some years ago. Yes, they are that bad. A number of small press tables showed that local comic creators are still plugging away. Pity the cafe was shut. Seems really stupid not to open with all those punters right next door but Greggs down the road did a good trade.

I completed the 1977 run of Sparky this morning (all save for a better copy of issue 628) with the win of issue 635 (and a copy I already had, no 633)

A few Graffix books from an Amazon reseller, all ex-library ones. They were 1p each and £2.80 postage... each! Talk about being stung, oh well. I'll do a blog about them at the weekend maybe. They are the "manga-like" (in format, not style - a couple are drawn by Janek Mitsiyak) British comics that publishers apparently "ought" to do. Well one publisher has done it, twice, and nobody seems to have noticed!

the new Doonesbury book, Red Rascal's War, in a remaindered bookshop for £7.50 Not bad for a book that is listed on amazon UK & USA as not coming out until the end of the year!

Oops! Sounds like a supply mix up happened there. Looks like they were sent to the wrong retailer, and they thought that they were discontinued, rather than not due out yet.

Other than my usual Beano and Dandy weekly comic (of course), I have also had a fairly busy week on eBay. Unfortunately, I have already removed them all from my purchase history, and so can't remember all the prices I paid. Oops... still:

Dandy & Beano 101 Great Stories 99p plus postage
Beano & Dandy A Library Of Laughter 99p plus postage
Beano & Dandy A Seventies Selection
Oor Wullie 1991
The Dandy Book 1968
The Dandy Monster Comic 1951 £18 and a few pence.

Last night I also bought The Beano & Dandy Alphabet Of Fun and The Broons & Oor Wullie 60 Years In The Sunday Post at 99p each. In case you hadn't noticed, I've been filling up a few gaps in my Beano & Dandy books collection.

Alphabet of Fun was the first retro Dandy-Beano book I ever got. I've got all the subsequent ones and a couple of earlier ones since then (one of them twice, because my mum accidentally bought me one I already had).
