Marvel's "Tales of Asgard" appeared in the Eagle comic from 17/02/68-07/12/68 (volume 19 issue 7 to volume 19 issue 48).

Eagle was also the first place that Tintin appeared in England (vo. 2 issue 17 to vol. 3 #5).

I thought of this thread yesterday when I bought an old Brown Watson Superman & Batman Annual from 1977. Though mostly composed of US reprints it's chiefly of interest for a number of short text stories by an uncredited writer, illustrated by John Bolton with the beautiful Wrightson/Frazetta brushwork he used on his 'Look In' strips (and which I still prefer to his current painted technique!). However I couldn't help but notice a different style on one of the stories, along with a curiously familiar signature:

Take a bow John! (Is there anything you haven't worked on?) :D

Also, while I'm on the subject of the Man of Steel I thought people might be interested in this striking 1959 cover which accompanied the Radio Fun strip mentioned above:

...Note the bare legs: presumably a lot of British people thought he looked like that when they watched him on black & white TV! :?
