Ten years ago New York detective Ed Trayson turned vigilante and then some, following his failed intervention to save a bystander in a gangland shootout landing him with a murder rap thanks to crooked partner Janson Maddock, now Police Commissioner.

Remaining at large thanks only to the clandestine efforts of single-mom rogue reporter Lisa Harne and pill-popping police chief curmudgeon Alvin Slate, can Trayson stay alive long enough to bring down Maddock and spare the city an impending mob meltdown?

Future-car thriller Road Raiders- where all homes are now ever-roaming advanced mobile weapons platforms harboring the only means of forage- a pantheon of deadly attack vehicles that have all-but replaced the world's conventional vehicles.

What do certain world leaders experience that ages them forty years in ten? What puts that dead-eyed fake smile on the face of princesses we presume have it all? How come that manufactured pop act who were everywhere five minutes ago have vanished off the face of the earth?

Meet the Alpha Wave. Contractors to the secret government (what, you think they went and hung up their aprons just because you discovered girls?), they are the dimension-storming builders of palatial bunkers for rapacious royals, deranged politicos, neo-nazi eugenicists and flavour of the week celebrities, all in the name of preserving the planet’s self-proclaimed best and brightest when the proverbial hits the fan.

Or so our betters are led to believe, for in the world beyond the world lie forces who, in return for steering clear of mankind, exact their toll in souls the Wave assure them are near-catastrophic losses to the Earth at large.

You wanted to know.

Now you know.

Deep in the cellars of the Earth lies the lost city of Tarn, its beating heart a temple of scrolls asserting that in the beginning there was indeed the word, sparked from the acquisition of fire, the moment that ignited the ascent from beast to man.

Yet while the world now teems with language and the infinitude of ways it can lay him low or raise his game, there endures the mother tongue that lies behind all others

…and it is the hidden war to master its workings from which the known conflicts of the world arise.

A war that High Mage Cyran Croll and his adepts cannot afford to lose, though with the weakening of the collective psychode of the world above, the Fallen Ones have now seen through the Paradox Shield of incontrovertible lies long containing their own hordes…

…and are now in no doubt where to head once the walls of Tarn have been taken.

Ex-DARPA scientist Professor Dan Dooley has fallen on hard times since getting the axe for withholding the blueprints to his ultimate invention- a jet pack harness whose properties far exceeded his expectations.

Unwilling to see the device deployed by heavy weapons crowd controllers over every main street in a country going to hell, he believes he’s succeeded in destroying the prototype beyond repair as he drowns the troubles of his blacklisted career, criminal record and family estrangement at the bottom of an endless blur of methylated spirit bottles.

Witnessing a hit and run on his nightly bender through the streets of LA, Dooley is soon confronted by teenage carjacker and fly-by-night card-cloner Jackon Torson. When the boy finds himself unwilling to carry out gangland orders to execute the vagrant, the two are pursued by the killers to the same scrapyard where the professor had the pack’s remains crushed. Pausing from cursing each other out long enough to retrieve and activate a bashed engine component, the pair escape only by inadvertently vaporizing the leader of the enclosing hunters.

Both now prime targets for the city’s most powerful crime syndicate, the two fugitives are brought to the attention of the US military rogue faction with whom Dooley refused to play ball, the cabal repaying the favour by destroying what remained of the professor's life through the planting of damning evidence on his work terminals. Evidence Torson believes he can work back to its source, if Dooley gets him his last shot at skipping town for good by piecing together a certain pile of junk now waiting in professor’s lock up.

But within the concrete canyons of Manhattan, Dr Frederick Ranson, a very different kind of genius, has assessed that negligible as they may be as individuals, Torson and Dooley have the potential to become a very aggravating thorn in the side of his brain jar… and concludes that another DARPA creation consigned to the back burner requires bringing out of storage. On waking the scramjet man-machine known as the Demiurge, deemed too dangerous for even the Deep Black special forces corps he’d been engineered to fight for, will likely to take a dim view on the two responsible for the disintegration of his only son, murdering street hood or not…

Inked sequentials.

Kara Flynn combs conduit annals of military R&D installation with tearaway teen Eldridge in search of his imprisoned father Major Cade Cyger, before the soldier can be blackmailed by his captors into undertaking a catastrophic mission.

Having been teleported free of his pursuers far outside the complex, failed-saboteur Rayken Shorde discovers that his own cloaked base has all-but exhausted its last reserves of power, and that the missing rescue party originally sent for him had not aborted their task, but been ambushed and killed en-route. Can he still trust the one crewman who remains to greet him- mission dispatcher and supposedly trusty robotic sidekick, Vastro?
