Blimey (again), I didn't realize their value had shot up. For a long time TV21s were around £7 each. Mine are mostly VF/NM so I don't know what they'd go for. Holding on to them though as they're some of my favourite comics.

I was at the London mart on Sunday as well and I got lots of really cheap American comics - like this obscure first issue from 1955 which has to have one of the oddest titles ever:
As far as those
TV21s go I suspect that the dealer in question doesn't really want to let them go anyway. If somebody offered to buy the lot he'd probably be quite mortified!

Today I bought Spellbound issue 1. Spellbound is usually out of my price range, so finding a copy of the first issue I could buy and still afford the rent was a delight.

Ooooh! Is that the Thomson one, the Atlas one, the Marvel one the Miller one or the Thorpe & Porter one?
...Whichever, I'm jealous!

TV21, as far as I can see, is the most valuable British title now after Beano, Dandy, and Commando No.1 - and everything with Dr Who in it is rocketing up at the moment because the TV series is doing well and about to have its fiftieth anniversary in November. Given that the BBC are pushing Dr Who in the USA at the moment I expect the prices will keep going up in the future. And, of course, TV21 is a fantastic comic! The various TV21 holiday specials are the really valuable ones - some have been going for £100 to £300 each on eBay recently. 1960s TV Comic issues with Dr Who are also going up quite a bit - around £25 for a fine copy.

On the plus side I have all my TV21s which I bought when they were published. On the minus side a few have bits cut out of them by me to pin up inside the lid of my school desk. Luckily a few years back i picked up quite a few quite cheaply - my collection was in storage for about fifteen years and I was eager to enjoy them so bought second copies. I sold some of the doubles on ebay last month but they are a bugger to parcel because of their size. I still can't believe I took a pair of scissors to TV Century 21 issues. My mate Steve bought a complete run for about £900 about five years back. He has taken early retirement and finishes at the end of this month. I have told him to get a pc and become a comics uk forum member.

On the plus side, you did help to increase the value for other collectors. Like the bloke who bought 25,000 identical stamps, kept one and burned the rest.
Anyway, today I got 4 year's worth of Cymru'R Plant, or "The Children's Wales", a long-running Welsh story paper. It contains a mix of stories for young children, adventure stories and illustrated articles. There's even a few very basic comic strips! All the issues I have are from the 50's, but there's more on the way, from between 1898 and 1930

Two early Bash Street Kids books (1980 and 1984) and a Whizzer and Chips flyer for No. 2.
Al, I noticed your cover scan of the 1984 Bash Street Kids book is a little iffy, so as soon as I get hold of my copy, I'll send you a better scan.

Two x Dan Dare annuals from his 2000AD days and a 1980s 2000AD annual. Sometimes you forget just how good 2000AD was.

A few more assorted volumes of Cymru'R Plant, these ones from 1898 to 1930, including a consecutive run from 1912 - 1915. None of them have 'proper' covers, presumably the ones it did have were just covered with adverts and discarded before binding.

Complete run (87 issues) of 'Striker' the boot all comic from the 2003-5 very pleased with that.
