It looks like that Mr Bean clip is from the barber episode (Hair by Mr. Bean of London is the episode's actual name) which wikipedia says was first broadcast in November 1995 so it would have to be before then and Digifiend says it must be between 1993 and 1998 judging by the logo. So it must be an issue from inbetween 1993 and 1995.

That doesnt look like a ken harrison cover (who I think was the Desperate Dan artist at the time) to me the first panel almost looks like John Geering's stuff.

No, he simply bought them.

Reminds me of Fred (of the Bed) going back in time to 1973, popping into the local newsagent and purchasing an armful of Beanos at 5 new pence each*, with the express intention of selling them on via 21st century Ebay...

* One of the only recorded instances of the Beano referring, even obliquely, to its own price rises.
Help! Help! We're being held prisoner in a signature factory!

Which makes me wonder how Fred paid for them? The only coins in circulation today the same as 1973 would be the 1p and 2p piece and he would have had to make sure they were all dated not later than 1973. The 50p 10p and 5p have all got smaller of course.

From The Great Euro Crash documentary shown recently on the BBC. In this rather grainy footage taken in Dublin, 1973, we can see a copy of Scorcher.

I have just seen a copy of Smash! on heartbeat, i do not have a visual as it was on tv, it was season 15, episode 18, Runners and Riders. David Stockwell was holding it, had a later cover?

Sorry if this has been mentioned before.

Whoops, forgot about that (And by the way, G not J in my name please). ITV3 shows reruns anyway - the show was axed a couple of years ago. The episode in question (which could be older than what your new episodes are up to) may or may not be on the ITV Player, but that's a moot point anyway now that it's been identified.
