The British Black Magic was a reprint of The American title published by Prize. That cover is actually the cover of the American #20.
The British reprints were published by the Arnold Book Co. and ran to 16 issues. According to the Guide, #15 was different in that it featured reprints from both Eerie and Crime Suspense Stories. That issue, was cited in the ant-horror comic campaign.
Lots of Simon & Kirby in there. Nice stuff.

The one I have shown here is an 160 page Album. According to Duncan McAlpine's website he has only ever seen two copies and they sold for over £60 each.

I have a coverless copy of the album but they're certainly rare. £5 sounds like a real bargain, and I'm pretty sure a second volume was never published.

Found it. I should have paid more attention to the cover, particularly the price - 3/6d and the word, "Album". That'll teach me to read more carefully.
The album was released in 1951 and as we noted earlier, contains Prize reprints. I'd agree that's a rare one. Well done.

Two different deliveries today: First up is Pecos Bill - Hero of Texas #1 from 1951 and secondly, not exactly a comic but close enough, #1-60 + a few extras of The Ultimate Graphic Novel Collection from Marvel. They should make a great read and display!

In his new semi-autobiography Michael Moorcock says that during his time as editor of Tarzan Weekly he used to sleep on piles of unsold copies of Pecos Bill. Apparently readers didn't particularly take to the European reprints they contained!

I obtained my first issue of Topper from 1977. Damn, they are like gold dust as Beezer issues are from this period. The tabloid format is obviously a factor but, still, for such a popular comic of its time why are they so apparently rare?

Maybe it was just because they were harder to store Geoff, making more of an incentive to get rid of them after reading.

The original-size versions of the Topper and Beezer were a real experience and still look striking today I reckon.

I didn't buy them, but I did get given copies of Howard Chaykin's Legend and they are a very interesting take on a human growing up with superpowers.

I bought the 1960 published Bobby Bear's Annual, being at a price I couldn't refuse. Was Bobby ever a comic strip somewhere? I've only ever seen his books.

Surface Tension #4 which I'm just about to read and issues 1, 2 and 3 of Swift from 1954 for a bit of variety! A comic for boys AND girls!

Internet server down for a couple of days, I'm not technical but it probably required a change of elastic bands and a new winding handle.Got this large 2013 titan hardback colour sword and sorcery comic book from a charity shop for £2.
I've been impressed with the newer comic books I have found of late and this one is great too.I think I have been dismissive of the newer books in the past but that must have been because I wasn't finding the right ones.

Not THAT new however, as the story originally appeared in Epic Illustrated over 30 years ago. In my opinion John Bolton's art was at its peak then, following on from his runs on full-colour strips like the Bionic Woman in Britain's Look-In during the late 1970s.
