I've had a refund but would rather have had the item, he didn't hesitate giving me refund which makes me think he didn't send it.

Not necessarily. The seller I bought my comics off also said he would refund me if they didn't turn up, but eventually they did, with the postmark dated the day he said he'd posted them.

I think sellers are covered for lost items aren't they? I could be wrong. Also it depends on the price. If it's just a few quid I'm sure a seller would refund it out of his own pocket rather than risk bad feedback.

I think it would have to be a Positive with a comment about the excellent communication and the immediate refund. You must surely give the guy the benefit of the doubt because after all he may well have lost the item and your payment. You are naturally disappointed but you are not out of pocket.
