I spotted it hiding at the back of a poor image on eBay. That’s my reading sorted for the next few evenings!
Fantastic news Adam !
Question: Is the Thorpe and Porter "Forbidden Worlds" an English version (reprints?) of the longer running (145 issues) "Forbidden Worlds" American title?
Yes they are. T&P did quite a few reprints of somebodies best of US comics. GCD. Has most of the links to where the stories came from.
Cheers for the info Adam. I found the set you have on GCD, excellent early fifties absolutely classic stuff !!

A fellow collector sent me the 1987 Air Ace Picture Library Holiday Special this morning, which means I've completed my collection of Boy's Picture Library Specials!
I’ve got all the War, Battle, Air Ace, Attack, Battler Britton, Space, Top Secret, Suspense, Wild West, Western, Secret Agent and a few one offs such as Combat Picture Library and Spy 13 along with the massive 272 page one which name currently eludes me .
I've got all of the issues by both Fleetway/IPC and Ron Phillips along with all the Special Extras that I know of. I've spent time over the last year indexing them all on GCD as the original details were very far off the mark.
I'm sure there will be one or two that I haven't come across yet as many that I've got weren't on any databases. The Combat one only came in a couple of months ago, and I'd never come across it or even got wind it existed!
Handily, they all just fit in one Really Useful box!

Tales of the Underworld, the quite obscure Alan Class Series was completed this morning. Only 10 in the series, but so difficult to find at reasonable prices!
I've completed a few of the smaller series by Class, but I'm now only 8 issues away from completing one of his big 6. The hunt continues.......

Only a little set, but I’ve managed to complete the obscure Ally Sloper set by Alan Class in 1976.
Such a completely different series from all of Alan’s other reprints!

They haven’t arrived yet, but I have another complete collection on its way. I’ve managed to sell loads of my doubles recently and decided to reward myself with a series I’ve always wanted but never seem to see any issues on sale…..Solo by City Magazines from 1967. I now have TV Action, TV21, TV Century 21, Countdown, Joe 90, TV Tornado and Solo complete sets. Lady Penelope is the only one of the TV genre that I may also look at, but that’s a tough set to collect too.

Ally Sloper is a homage to the fact that Alan actually liked comics,it wasn't all business.

Solo is beyond difficult to collect.
Where did you get this from?

The Compal auction House. I only had a couple of comics in the series as I didn’t expect to ever be able to get the set. They’re due on Monday so today feels like Christmas Eve for a kid!

I’m looking forward to getting his book next week. He is a great character apparently and yes, it wasn’t all business.

Thanks Adam, I wasn't aware of this company before and have now googled.
Like you, I have only 2 of this series.
I can completely understand how you feel, massively exciting to get this rare set.
I think this and TV Tornado are sets that remain very difficult to collect.
Plus frankly TV Century 21 is not easy.

I'm aware of this book and will also be purchasing, I do have one Alan Class book already that features covers of his publications.
I'm hoping that this will be more personable.
Did you ever invest in 30th Century Comics Alan Class printing plates issues?

I'm not sure I was aware of a book of Alan Class covers - can you share a cover image (or just the title) so that I can search for it myself? Thanks!

I managed to get the plates to Sinister Tales #1 when they first started selling them. The prices jumped soon afterwards so I was lucky. I needed the comic for my collection at the time and that was part of the sale.
