Biffo was very funny this week...guest star of an old character...I love all this history brought back in a fun way...
Also the following week the Beano will be a 52 page special?

Interesting times, I wonder if there will be more changes to come and the 52 page special will act as a mini relaunch, or with The Dandy now online they are throwing more money into The Beano as the sole traditional comic in the shops.
One thing that's certain is the price will go up.

Yeah, that issue will probably be £3 instead of the now normal £2. Even more if it has a gift, as the extra quid I just mentioned only accounts for the extra pages.

There was no extra price mentioned on the inside page advert...no clue to what its going to have either..
Just says Mega 52 page special!
No news of free gift..
just a Are you Menace enough to read The Beano? find out!
Also Dennis which is brilliant at the moment...they got rid of Dennis goofy teeth..;0)
has the old masthead Dennis the Menace and Gnasher with the black cloud yellow letters..
A nice cross over with the Bash street kids...
It has a similar front and back cover with beano logo...the back cover for some reason is upside down!!.barcode is only on cover..

Oh man! The 2-page Bananaman and the "Bea's Farts 'n' Ladders" game are also reprinted from last week

Ignoring the reprints, I must say that the new editor is doing a great job. It almost reminds of a certain comic that has just gone digital.
My favourite was Biffo the Bear.

I agree SID it's great to see that the last Dandy revamps legacy is living on in The Beano. This is definitely the best shape The Beano has been in for a few years and it's great to see it embrace it's history with the mini strips and behave like a proper comic again.
Also Dennis THE MENACE has finally got his title back at the beginning of his strip again.

Dennis also had an extra page this week. Who's this Danny guy they thanked? Sadly, the binoculars seeing to page 19 joke was ruined by it being on page 4 instead of page 3.
