Yes, I used to have a couple of copies saved for me at a local newsagent as most shops had stopped having it by then. (We didn't get freebies from Fleetway, yet we did for Sonic the Comic.)
i didn't even know when buster had stopped until i joined this forum and thought it had stopped at some point in mid 90.i started buying beano and dandy in the late 90's again as i had 2 little sisters come along so that was a good excuse but never ever saw buster anywhere.i just need 2 from 97 and 2 from 98 to have a complete run from 1978.and about 50 for a complete run from july 69.

Yeah, it ended right at the end of 1999. The last few years were all reprint though, as you may know.

Outbid on most items but managed to pick up my 2nd Lion and Valiant Special Extra from 1968, the first one. I just need 1969 now as I have the final 1970 issue.

Yes, I would think so. They own the character and the old strips so they'd be included. Whether they actually have copies of those mags is another question though.

Got a lovely bound volume of the first 34 issues of the Sunday Fairy/Childrens Sunday Fairy/Childrens Fairy comics (it changed title a couple of times) from 1919. Its the publishers file copy, and has the free gift from issue 1, issue 2 and the free gift from the first issue of the new series when it made its final name change. The book covers are a bit tatty but the comics and gifts are in perfect condition. Its one of those purchases where you can't quite believe how good it is !!

Not a comic but came from them - third volume of Star Trek The Classic UK Comics featuring the Star Trek strips from TV21 and Valiant.
Great stuff.

Went out as usual to buy this week's Beano, and found the Beano Christmas Special, which is odd, as that shop (McColls) doesn't usually sell the specials. Pleasant surprise, especially as I didn't even know it was out yet.
